CHOCOLATE, ROBERT & TERRIFIC
Rarely can you come from a big city like Los Angeles
and move to the country in beautiful Oregon and do
something absolutely wonderful like the raising of
Alpacas. Chocolate, (left) our mixed breed Pit Bull has done that and she loves the 22 acres of Jocelyn's Alpaca Ranch and enjoys her interaction with the Alpacas. I have changed business suits to jeans and sweatshirts and have fallen in love with these gentle and loving animals immensely.
Featured in the photograph is our young female,
TULE'S TERRIFIC, born 7/24/07, the daughter of
TUALATIN, Huyacayas with very thick fleece and
good manners. TERRIFIC has an older sister
TULE'S BEAUTY.
All three are available under the Huyacaya package
for $7500 each or five for $35,000.
Each comes with a live birth guarantee, and Beauty
is sold with her cria Bernie, 3 months old at no
additional charge.
Guests are welcome at any time at the ranch.
Coffee is on all the time and overnight
stays are complimentary if you are traveling
a fair distance.
We are 20 miles west of Salem, 10 miles
south of Dallas, Oregon and can only be
described as God's country if you have hailed from
the city.

Tualatin is quite a story of luck overiding skill in
buying Alpacas.
Tualatin, a huyacaya, was a very loved animal for the first six years of her life, the giver of that love being
Blodwyn Bruce of Eastsound, Washington.
For six years, Tualatin and Neah were treated like
daughters by Blodwyn, who declined to breed them
and cause them a burden in birthing and raising
crias.
Jocelyn's Alpaca Ranch bought these two virgins
for a price of $15,000 and hoped for the best.
Tualatin in the next three years gave us Tule's
Beauty, Terrific (pictured at left), and recently
Black Thunder a true black male.
Neah, her companion gave us Pocohontas,
Night Fox, and Natalie Wood.
So we have four females and two males out of this
purchase, a total of eight animals thus far and
Pocohontas had her first cria, Pete, featured on
our web site.
So out of buying two Alpacas, we multiplied to nine
with more due this year.
(As an aside, our vet, Dr. Paul Jones of Woodburn,
Vet of the year in Oregon, cautioned us at the
first herd check of Tualatin and Neah that they
probably would be unable to conceive let alone
birth Alpacas, since they had not been bred
earlier).
Miracles occur when you own Alpacas.
